The Problem
Despite the New Zealand government's Homelessness Action Plan, youth aged 16-25 continue to face homelessness in alarming numbers. The unique challenges faced by this demographic require tailored strategies and interventions.
Youth Homelessness in Aotearoa New Zealand
Research shows that over 50% of New Zealand's homeless population is under 25 years old. Factors contributing to youth homelessness include family breakdown, poverty, systemic discrimination against Māori and Pacific youth, and lack of access to affordable housing.

We’re a national collective working with the power of collective impact to understand the issues and create the solutions each region needs to prevent and end youth homelessness.
